About CrossCheck

CrossCheck finds the intersection of agreement across multiple news sources and presents that as trusted content.

How It Works

Every article on CrossCheck is built by analyzing coverage from multiple independent news outlets. We identify the facts that all sources agree on -- the core truth that emerges when partisan framing is stripped away.

Our Process

  1. Source Collection: We gather reporting on the same story from at least two independent news organizations, prioritizing wire services and established outlets.
  2. Cross-Reference: We compare the factual claims across sources, identifying where they converge and where they diverge.
  3. Agreement Extraction: We extract the specific points where sources agree -- the verified facts, matching quotes, and consistent data.
  4. Synthesis: We write a clear, neutral summary built on the foundation of agreed-upon facts.

What Makes Us Different

Every CrossCheck article includes an "Where Sources Agree" section -- a clear list of specific points that multiple independent sources have confirmed. This transparency lets you see exactly why we consider the information reliable.
